Weeds Exhibit
During the Spring semester of 2016, I worked as a graphic design intern at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Above are pictures of the graphic work I created for their exhibit "Weeds: Untamed Wonders." This exhibit was located at the Cumming Nature Center in Naples, NY. I was in charge of creating the lables for the pieces hung in the museum as well as the title sign, and posters.
I chose the color green not only because of the greenery involved in the exhibit, but to add a pop of color to the rather white pieces that were hung. I did not want to take away from the artwork so I chose the elegant serif typeface Bodoni and added some minimal leaves off two of the letters. I paired the title type with the sans serif font Helvetica.
As you can see, I was pretty excited to see my work hung up publically! This was my first taste of working as a graphic designer other than freelance.
