Hi! I'm Olivia and l am a junior web designer at Royall & Company and a graphic design freelancer on the side. I also enjoy illustration, hand-lettering, typography, and photography on top of soccer and figure skating. I grew up in Elmira, New York and presently live in Richmond, VA.

I have had a passion for design and all things art related ever since I can remember. I remember writing and illustrating little books I would make when I was about 6. My grandmother (who’s one of my best friends) taught me how to draw everything under the sun, so I guess I owe her one for sparking my career choice.

 

I discovered my love for web design during the Myspace fad of middle school. I remember doing coding while customizing my profile. I had no idea that it was even a part of web design back then. My dad would yell at me to get off the computer and study. Little did he know that I would get a job doing coding right out of college!

 

I developed my flat/bold style at an early age as well. I remember coloring in my Barbie coloring books and only touching the ones that were big bold close-ups of her face. I never wanted to get into the really detailed pages because I thought they looked too busy and cluttered. Ever since those days I’ve always worked in that same sort of style.
