This website and brand was made for my senior project at Nazareth college. I wanted to design something fun, thematic, and whimsical while at the same time create a serious brand for a company. For me that included a logo, website, several product mockups, a business card, and a likable theme. I decided to create a mock beauty salon with an outer space atmosphere that emphasizes the care they treat their clients with. Special thanks to Danielle Poteat, a stylist from AJ’s Hair and Makeup, for letting me use her hair headshots. Welcome to Over The Moon BEAUTY SALON.

I chose the colors for this brand based off of multiple color inspirations from my Pinterest page. I chose “spacey” colors that were more upbeat and fun as opposed to black which is a color I intended to avoid. I added the peachy pink color to keep the feminine vibe but all genders are welcome to this beauty salon!

The three fonts that I chose are Bromello, Helvetica Light and Helvetica Bold. Bromello provides the fun whimsical side of the business while the helveticas provide a good font pair as well as body copy and web compatibility.

I also created mock products. I created a shampoo line called Infinity for curly hair, Your Venus for straight hair, Blast Off for oily hair, and Here Comes The Sun for dry hair. Each bottle is in colors of the color palette. I also made a mock skin care line and uniforms/t-shirts.
