Rainbow Cove Website Revamp School Project

For this project, I wanted help out a place that means a lot to me; Rainbow Cove. This is a beautiful motel on the lake that I go to every year. It’s stuck in the 70s and I like it that way. Unfortunately, their website is stuck in the 70s as well. Their content is scrambled and unorganized. Also their logo isn’t on the page as well. Their photography is not showcased in a pleasing manner. You can see an example of their website on http://www.rainbowcoveresort.com. I do not think their website helps them attract the business that they want.

I redesigned the overall layout of the site, adjusted the color pallet, redesigned their logo and made it present on each page of the site, and created an online booking feature that they did not have before. I also made the site’s design responsive and compatible for mobile devices. I created hand lettering to add a touch of playfulness. I made the font web friendly (Helvetica) and also cohesive with my hand lettering.  I also added an accent color of orange (which is the complement of blue). I used their photography in a way that is organized a visually pleasing. I added social media icons in the footer that could potentially enhance their business if they decided to incorporate social media.

I IN NO WAY OWN ANY OF THE COPY AND PHOTOGRAPHY ON THIS SITE. I DID NOT MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF THIS AND IN NO WAY OWN THE RAINBOW COVE WEBSITE. IT WAS A SCHOOL PROJECT.
